Three classic Rolex watches, known for their exquisite technology and unique design, are equipped with gorgeous new dials and make a dazzling debut with a brand new look.

The Oyster Perpetual Cosmograph Daytona features a gorgeous turquoise blue lacquered dial with bright black chronograph counters, carefully crafted from 18K gold. The new watch has a black Cerachrom ceramic outer ring with a famous tachymeter, and is equipped with an Oysterflex strap and Oyster safety clasp.

The Oyster Perpetual GMT-Master II is presented with a new Tiger Eye dial. Tiger Eye is a natural gemstone composed of Tiger Eye, Red Jasper and Hematite, which has a gorgeous and colorful luster. The new watch is made of 18K Everose gold and is equipped with a brown and black Cerachrom ceramic bezel. The watch is paired with an Oyster strap and Oyster safety clasp.

The Oyster Perpetual Sky-Dweller is a sophisticated and elegant companion for those who travel around the world. This year, the 18K gold watch is paired with a rich sunray effect bright green dial, which complements the watch, and is equipped with an 18K gold Jubilee bracelet and Oyster buckle, adding a sophisticated texture.

Triangular fluted bezel, a classic feature

Since the advent of the Oyster case in 1926, many classic models in the Oyster Perpetual series have been equipped with a triangular fluted bezel. The original purpose of the bezel fluting was to screw the bezel firmly to the middle case, which indirectly achieved a waterproof effect. Today, the triangular fluting is mainly used as an aesthetic decoration. The triangular fluted bezel is only made of 18K gold or 950 platinum, which highlights the brand's unique expertise and is also an important element of the brand's classic aesthetic style.

The Sky-Dweller is equipped with a bright green dial, and its triangular fluted bezel is cast in 18K gold, the same material used for the Oyster case and the commemorative bracelet.

Oyster case, a symbol of waterproofness

The Oyster case is a paragon of robustness, reliability and elegance. The Cosmograph Daytona and GMT-Master II are both equipped with a 40 mm diameter Oyster case, while the Sky-Dweller is equipped with a 42 mm Oyster case, guaranteed waterproof to a depth of 100 meters (330 feet), providing optimal protection for the movement. The middle case is cast from a solid block of 18K yellow gold or 18K Everose gold. Like the chronograph pushers of the Cosmograph Daytona, the double-lock winding crown with a double waterproof system or the triple-lock winding crown with a triple waterproof system can be securely screwed onto the case. The mirror is made of anti-reflective blue crystal and is not easily scratched. There is a small window convex lens at 3 o'clock for easy reading of the calendar.

Oysterflex, Oyster and Jubilee straps

The Cosmograph Daytona, with its turquoise lacquered dial and glossy black counters, is paired with an Oysterflex strap. Developed and patented by Rolex, this strap consists of two curved flexible metal sheets, one on each side of the strap, and is covered with black high-performance rubber injection molding on the outside.

The GMT-Master II, with its Tigerstone dial, is paired with an Oyster strap. This is a three-link metal strap that is sturdy and reliable and was launched in the late 1930s.

The Sky-Dweller, with its glossy green dial, is paired with a Julibee strap. This is a five-link metal strap that is flexible and comfortable and was designed and released by Rolex in 1945 for the Oyster Perpetual Datejust.

The Oysterflex strap of the Cosmograph Daytona and the Oyster strap of the GMT-Master II are both equipped with a folding Oysterlock to prevent the buckle from opening accidentally; while the commemorative strap of the Sky-Dweller is equipped with a folding Oysterclasp.

Superlative Chronometer Certification

Like all Rolex watches, the Oyster Perpetual Cosmograph Daytona, Oyster Perpetual GMT-Master II and Oyster Perpetual Sky-Dweller carry the Superlative Chronometer certification established by Rolex in 2015. This unique designation proves that each watch has successfully passed a series of tests in Rolex laboratories. In addition, the movements of these watches are also certified by the Swiss Official Chronometer Testing Institute (COSC). The watches are tested after they are assembled and the movements are cased to ensure that the watches perform superbly when worn in terms of precision, power reserve, waterproofness and self-winding. The average error of a Rolex Superlative Chronometer is within plus or minus two seconds per day. The precision pursued by Rolex is far higher than the standards of the Swiss Official Chronometer Testing Institute.
